About this course
Our program not only delivers knowledge but ensures proficiency, with hands-on training videos that simplify the entire rendering process. From basic setup to advanced material creation and lighting techniques, you'll master the art of interior visualization with Corona's intuitive workflow.
This intensive Corona interior rendering course develops your expertise in creating compelling interior atmospheres through sophisticated lighting and material techniques. You'll master the delicate balance between natural and artificial lighting, learning to create photorealistic interior environments that communicate spatial quality and design intent with unprecedented clarity.
The curriculum emphasizes practical application of Corona's material system, teaching you to craft authentic textures for complex surfaces including fabrics, wood grains, metals, and glass. Through detailed exploration of the Chaos Cosmos library and custom material creation, you'll learn to achieve material authenticity that convinces clients and elevates interior presentations.
Advanced workflow techniques include space staging and composition strategies that transform empty architectural models into compelling lived-in environments. You'll develop skills in asset placement, lighting design, and camera positioning that tell architectural stories and enhance spatial understanding.
The course positions you to produce interior visualizations that meet professional standards for residential and commercial projects. These skills apply directly to interior design presentations, real estate marketing, and architectural competitions where compelling interior imagery can determine project success.

This course will turn you into:
A photorealistic renderer
Master Corona's lighting and material systems to create stunning interior visualizations that rival professional photography, with realistic lighting, shadows, and atmospheric effects.
A lighting design specialist
Understand the principles of interior lighting design and how to implement natural and artificial lighting scenarios that enhance spatial quality and mood.
A post-production artist
Learn professional workflows for enhancing your renders through post-production techniques, color grading, and composition to create portfolio-ready architectural imagery.
Syllabus
We start the course by explaining what's in store, and the steps we'll take to produce amazing renders together. We then jump into 3DS Max to get ourselves setup with the correct units, assigning Corona as our renderer and importing the SketchUp geometry we've downloaded from 3D warehouse and tidied up.
We dive straight into Corona by creating a Corona sun and loading a simple Corona sky into the environment slot, turning on the volumetric cloud system, too. We finish the lesson off with your first render, a simple white card shot to demonstrate the environment lighting.
The third lesson introduces you to the huge, in-built, library of materials within both the Corona and Chaos Cosmos libraries. Here, you'll learn how to deploy these standard materials and how to correctly map them onto your model for realistic results.
Building on the Chaos Cosmos library, you'll learn how to roll out its 3D models to furnish your scene, in both the foreground and background. We refine the scene with bespoke assets later in the course, but we retain a lot of the assets laid out here as our backdrop.
In lesson 5, we step it up by explaining the two methods for creating Corona cameras, the necessary settings for archviz shots, including the ultimate realism booster, depth of field. You'll also learn how to drop in HDRI environment lighting, for enhanced realism and control.
We use two leading websites to source high-end 3D assets and textures to take the scene up a notch. But, before doing so we check in with some precedents to remind ourselves of the goal we're trying to achieve and how interior designers decorate a space for maximum impact.
We use the penultimate lesson to touch on some fine-tuning techniques such as the light mix, adding interior artificial lights, a night shot and how to use a Corona map to mimic the look of bevelled edges in the harsh geometry that typically comes from SketchUp.
Although Chaos Corona boasts simplicity in its settings there's still some key aspects you need to understand before sending your final renders off. You'll learn the most efficient settings for maximum quality and speed, plus we explain how to properly use the denoiser to avoid blotchy renders.
