Terms of Service

These Terms & Conditions ("Terms") govern your use of the ArchAdemia website, mobile application and any associated services (collectively, the "Service") provided by ArchAdemia Ltd (a company registered in England & Wales, company number 13602105, registered address Independence House, 6 Tapton Way, Liverpool, Merseyside, United Kingdom, L13 1DA).

1. Definitions

"User", "you", "your" means any person who accesses or uses the Service.

"Content" means all materials made available through the Service (including video tutorials, written resources, tools, features, interactive modules).

"Subscription" means a paid membership to access certain portions of the Service under the subscription model.

"Drawing Board" means the social media-style feature of the Service where Users may post their projects, comment, contact one another and interact.

"CORB" means the architecture-specific large language model provided by ArchAdemia to Users as part of the Service.

"Tools" means additional workflow features made available via the Service (for example: fee calculator, project tracker, time-management calendar, and any future tools).

2. Acceptance of Terms

By registering for or using the Service you agree to be bound by these Terms and any other policies referenced herein (including our Privacy Policy). If you do not accept these Terms, you must not access or use the Service.

3. Account Registration, Credentials & Security

You must be at least 16 years old to register for an account.

If you are under 18 years of age, you represent that you have obtained consent from a parent or legal guardian to use the Service and that your guardian has read and agreed to these Terms on your behalf.

You agree to provide accurate, current, complete registration information and to keep it updated.

You are responsible for maintaining the confidentiality of your account credentials (username/password) and for all activities under your account. You must not share your account with any other person.

You agree to notify ArchAdemia immediately of any unauthorised use of your account or any other breach of security.

4. Subscriptions, Billing & Cancellation

Access to the Service is via a Subscription. Details of subscription tiers, fees, billing periods, renewal, cancellation rights appear on the website at https://archademia.com/pricing/.

Unless otherwise indicated, Subscriptions automatically renew at the then-current rate until cancelled.

You may cancel at any time via your account settings, but cancellation will take effect at the end of the current billing period. No pro-rata refunds will be provided unless otherwise stated.

ArchAdemia reserves the right to change subscription fees; any material increase will be notified in advance and will apply at the next renewal.

Refund Policy: As all ArchAdemia products and services are digital and immediately accessible, they cannot be physically returned. Refunds are not guaranteed and are granted solely at the discretion of ArchAdemia Ltd, typically in cases of duplicate billing or demonstrable technical fault that prevented access.

Requests for refunds must be submitted in writing to hello@archademia.com within 14 days of purchase.

Nothing in this policy affects your statutory rights as a consumer under applicable law.

5. Licence to Use Content

Subject to your compliance with these Terms and payment of any applicable subscription fees, ArchAdemia grants you a non-exclusive, non-transferable, revocable licence to access and use the Content for your personal and internal professional purposes (in each case subject to these Terms).

You may not reproduce, broadcast, distribute, transmit, modify, create derivative works of or commercially exploit the Content unless expressly permitted in writing by ArchAdemia.

6. Drawing Board – Community Guidelines & User-Generated Content

(a) Overview

The "Drawing Board" allows Users to share, comment, message and interact. By participating, you agree to adhere to our Community Guidelines and moderation procedures below.

(b) Community Guidelines

Users must not post or transmit any content that:

  • is unlawful, harassing, threatening, abusive, obscene, defamatory or discriminatory;
  • infringes intellectual property or privacy rights of others;
  • impersonates another person;
  • promotes illegal activity or spam;
  • includes personal or confidential information of others without consent;
  • contains viruses, malicious code or misleading information.

(c) Moderation & Reporting

ArchAdemia operates community moderation and reporting mechanisms. Users can report content or behaviour that violates these Guidelines via the platform's reporting tools or by emailing hello@archademia.com.

We may:

  • temporarily or permanently suspend a User's posting privileges;
  • remove content deemed inappropriate or in breach of the Guidelines;
  • issue warnings or terminate accounts of repeat offenders.

We are not obliged to monitor all content but reserve the right to do so for enforcing these Terms.

(d) Repeat-Offender Policy

Repeated or severe violations may result in:

  • Content removal.
  • Temporary account suspension (usually 7 – 30 days).
  • Permanent termination of account and removal of content.

(e) User Content Rights

You agree that any User Content you post is your sole responsibility. You grant ArchAdemia and its affiliates a worldwide, royalty-free, perpetual, irrevocable, sublicensable licence to use, reproduce, publish, adapt and display such User Content in connection with the Service.

ArchAdemia does not endorse, monitor, pre-screen or verify User Content and does not guarantee its accuracy, completeness or suitability.

You agree not to post User Content that: is unlawful; infringes third-party rights; is harmful, harassing, defamatory, obscene or otherwise objectionable; promotes illegal or illicit behaviour; contains viruses or malicious code; or is misleading in any way.

ArchAdemia reserves the right (but has no obligation) to remove or disable access to any User Content for any reason.

You agree to indemnify ArchAdemia against any claims, losses or liabilities arising from your User Content or your use of the Drawing Board.

7. Use of the CORB Tool

If you are granted access to CORB, you may use it in accordance with any additional terms or usage guidelines provided.

The CORB Tool is provided "as is" and for informational or reference purposes only. You must not rely on it as a substitute for professional judgement.

ArchAdemia disclaims all warranties in relation to the CORB Tool (see Section 12).

You are responsible for ensuring your use of the CORB Tool (including any outputs) is compliant with any professional, regulatory or legal obligations that apply to you.

8. Use of Other Tools (Fee Calculator, Project Tracker, Time-Management etc)

ArchAdemia provides the Tools for your convenience and internal use; they are not guaranteed to be industry-standard, error-free or suitable for your particular professional use.

You acknowledge the results produced by the Tools are for guidance only. You are solely responsible for how you implement them and for any decisions or outcomes arising from your use. ArchAdemia shall not be liable for any loss, damage or cost arising from your use of the Tools.

9. Prohibited Uses

You agree you will not use the Service for any unlawful purpose or to engage in behaviour that:

  • infringes any intellectual property, privacy or other rights of any third party;
  • uses automatic scripts, bots or unauthorised methods to access or use the Service;
  • interferes with the operation, servers or networks of the Service;
  • exports or re-exports the Service or content in violation of export control laws;
  • uses the Service in a way that is harmful, fraudulent, defamatory, harassing, abusive or otherwise objectionable.

10. International Users & Consumer Rights

ArchAdemia is based in the United Kingdom but serves an international audience.

If you are resident in the EU or other jurisdictions with statutory consumer rights, you may be entitled to a 14-day right of cancellation for digital subscriptions purchased online that have not yet been accessed or downloaded. Once you access or stream digital content, this right is deemed waived.

These Terms do not exclude any rights you may have under mandatory consumer law in your jurisdiction.

11. Intellectual Property

All rights (including copyright, database rights, trademarks and other proprietary rights) in the Service and Content are owned or licensed by ArchAdemia or its licensors. These Terms do not grant you any rights to those intellectual property rights beyond the licence described in Section 5.

12. Disclaimers & Release

The Service, Content, CORB Tool and Tools are provided "as is" and "as available" without any warranty of any kind. ArchAdemia explicitly disclaims all implied warranties, including fitness for purpose, merchantability, accuracy, reliability or non-infringement.

ArchAdemia does not warrant that the Service will be uninterrupted, error-free or secure.

You expressly release ArchAdemia from any claims, demands or damages (including indirect or consequential damages) arising out of your use of the Service.

13. Limitation of Liability

To the fullest extent permitted by applicable law, ArchAdemia's total aggregate liability to you for all claims under or in connection with these Terms or the Service shall not exceed the amount you have paid in the preceding 12 months (or, if you have not paid anything, the current annual subscription cost).

In no event shall ArchAdemia be liable for any indirect, incidental, special or consequential losses, including loss of profit, loss of business, loss of data, business interruption or goodwill.

14. Indemnification

You agree to indemnify and hold harmless ArchAdemia and its officers, directors, employees, agents and affiliates from and against any claim, loss, damage, liability or cost (including reasonable solicitors' fees) arising out of:

  • your breach of these Terms;
  • your User Content or postings;
  • your use of the CORB Tool or other Tools;
  • your violation of any law or third-party rights in connection with your use of the Service.

15. Termination; Suspension

ArchAdemia may suspend or terminate your account, access to the Service, or any part thereof at any time, with or without cause, and with or without notice.

Upon termination, all licenses granted to you will immediately cease and you must stop using the Service and delete all downloaded content. ArchAdemia may delete or disable your User Content.

Sections 5, 6, 7, 8, 10, 11, 12, 13 and this section shall survive termination.

16. Changes to the Terms

ArchAdemia may revise these Terms from time to time. We will give you notice of any material changes (for example by email or notification via the Service) and the changes will become effective at the next renewal or as otherwise specified. Your continued use of the Service after changes constitutes acceptance of them.

17. Governing Law & Jurisdiction

These Terms are governed by the laws of England & Wales. You agree that the courts of England & Wales shall have exclusive jurisdiction to resolve any dispute.

18. General Provisions

If any provision of these Terms is found invalid or unenforceable, that provision shall be enforced to the maximum extent permitted and the remainder of the Terms shall continue in full force and effect.

Waiver: failure by ArchAdemia to enforce any right or provision of these Terms shall not be a waiver of such right or provision.

Assignment: You may not assign or transfer your rights under these Terms without ArchAdemia's prior written consent; ArchAdemia may assign its rights or subcontract services without consent.
